As many readers will be aware, Dartmouth Academy opened its own Sixth Form in September 2011. Since it opened we have maintained a small but highly bespoke range of GCSE and A Level courses and this continues next year with the provision of the Level 2 NVQ in Child Care being added to the curriculum, running alongside Level 3 BTEC in Sports Science.

World Book Day will be held on our Skills Day on Friday 6th March. The theme is ‘My Favourite Children’s Book’.
Pupils are to come dressed as their favourite book character (no superheroes – we’ve had Superheroes Day already!) This is a truly all-through day, where we are exploring how to keep alive that childhood magic of being totally lost in a captivating book! There will be challenges and activities throughout the day, including a play by Year 10!

On Thursday 5th March, Year 11 students will be g...

Dartmouth Academy supports young people being able to express themselves, their opinions and their ideas visually and encourages them to showcase their work through a range of opportunities. As such we are very happy to be able to celebrate with the Flavel on its 10th anniversary.
